Driven to Sue: A Riders Guide to Congestion Pricing Lawsuits

With the MTA Board finally, finally, finally approving the proposed tolling structure for congestion pricing, we thought it’d be timely to give folks a primer on the next big hurdle for the first-in-the-nation tolling program to clear—*sigh*, the lawsuits.

Yes, while congestion pricing is now slated to begin in mid-June, this is actually a new start date that reflects an unfortunate delay caused by a slate of ongoing, frivolous lawsuits levied by the likes of New Jersey Governor Phil Murphy and the President of the United Federation of Teachers, to name a few.
